Filthy Disgusting Habit

I was at a cafe with a friend on the weekend. We were sitting at an outdoor table (on the footpath) having some food and drink. Two women sat at a nearby table, and while one went inside to order, another got up and stood beside her table smoking a cigarette. >:-(

I walked up to her and quite pointedly informed her that it was illegal for her to smoke where people are eating. She put her cigarette out and sat back down without a word.

A minute or so later the other woman came out, and after talking with her friend, stood up beside her table and started smoking. :(

Without getting up, I looked at her and said "Ma'am, you are not allowed to smoke there!" She made some pointless comment about standing "outside" the eating area (she had actually stepped half a metre left to stand in the gutter). I replied "You should go across the road and smoke! If you don't want to do the right thing out of courtesy, do it because it is the law! A police officer would issue you with an on the spot fine if he walked past right now!".

She mumbled something and put her cigarette out.

I have no patience for inconsiderate people. And now that the law is on my side, I will demand that someone who is rude enough to smoke where I am eating do the right thing and go elsewhere or put it out!

Company Kart Racing

So the company decided to treat us to some kart racing this afternoon. We went down to Kingston Park Raceway to race their super karts. :)

Now I am very fond of my camera's excellent video recording abilities. I had an idea to get a "Gorillapod" and tape it to the top of my helmet. HELMET CAM!!! :D

I got some clips from the video footage I recorded, slapped them together with Movie Maker and post it up to YouTube for everyone to watch. :)
