Stayed at my parents place last night so that I could get up early and go with them to the dawn ANZAC service. My mom commented that she had a wonderful nights sleep because the dog did not bother hear all night. He slept on the end of my bed with me. :)
Woke up at 3:30am. My younger sister showed up just after 4am, and the four of us went down to the local memorial for the dawn service at 4:30am. They gave us a nice breakfast there after the service, which I really appreciated.
Back home and in bed by 6:30am, awake at 11am, then off to work. Boss and I put in an afternoons work on a project that is falling behind. He shouted me dinner at the pub. Free food... Bargain!!! :P
Went and caught a movie with a mate. Dropped by a client and spent some time doing server maintenance there. Home now. Watch a bit of Fox, then off to bed methinks. Early start tomorrow.
Hey, check this out. Google Australia changed their logo graphic today for Anzac Day. Very cool. Here is a screenshot if you missed it.

34 hours awake, and counting.
So.....tired.........must.....stay......awake!!!
Had some problems with a deployment at a client site yesterday. Worked through the night, finished there just after lunch today. But I can't go to sleep now because I will end up waking up in the middle of the night.
Woke up at 6am Saturday morning. Been awake for more than 34 hours now. I got to stay awake until at least 6pm. I wont sleep more than 8-12 hours, so I can't risk falling asleep before then or I'll be up before dawn.
Might go get some McDonald's. :)

A sad day. :(
Today was my uncle's funeral. It was a very very upsetting experience for me. This is the first time I have lost someone who shaped my life by playing such a big part in it. It was so much more traumatic than I imagined it would be.
I hope the pain of the grief lessens soon. :(
11 years I have gone without having a single drop of alcohol. Bought a bottle of Jim Beam Small Batch for dad, and had a glass of it tonight with him and the family to toast to Terry.
I wish he was still here. :`(

Oh no! :(
My mother's brother died last night from a sudden blood infection. It was quite upsetting. All the family was at his bedside in the hospital when the end came.
We knew he was generally not well, and his life would end someday soon, but having him alive and well one day and die the next is just not cool. Sometimes the universe proves to be really unfair! >:(
Terence Ian Sharp - Born 4th November 1945, died 3rd April 2006. Love you heaps old man. You are my most favorite uncle. :(
